DIRAS Spices Required
DIRAS Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp, DIRAS Coriander Powder – 1 tsp, DIRAS Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Ingredients
3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander for garnish
Method
Heat oil in a pan for 30 seconds. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle for 10–15 seconds.
Add onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until light golden.
Add tomato and salt. Cook for 3 minutes until soft.
Add DIRAS Turmeric Powder, DIRAS Coriander Powder and DIRAS Red Chilli Powder. Mix for 30 seconds on low flame.
Add potatoes and 3–4 tbsp water. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes on low-medium flame.
Stir once in between. Cook until potatoes are soft and masala coats evenly.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
